Harry Truman Vice-Presidential Nomination ceremony in Chicago, July 21, 1944. Some of the events of Harry Truman's nomination at the Democratic Convention in 1944 and his acceptance were re-created at the same convention center with descendants of the original people reading their words. Bill Hannegan read the speech of his father, Robert Hannegan; Clifton Truman Daniel read the nominating speech of Sen. Bennett Champ Clark; Steven Kelly read the words of welcome of his father, Mayor Ed Kelly. Niel Johnson read Harry Truman's acceptance remarks. Professor Robert Ferrell also spoke at the event in the Chicago Stadium. (This video was, according to a note on the box, donated to the Library by Bill Hannegan. After the segment on the July 21, 1994 ceremony, there is part of a documentary taped from the Discovery Channel, entitled "Sea Wings," about air power in the cold war era). VHS videotape.

“MEDICARE 30TH ANNIVERSARY” July 30, 1995. Ceremony at the Harry S Truman Library on the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Medicare Bill at the Truman Library by President Lyndon Johnson. The ceremony consisted of speakers in the auditorium of the Library, and a television hookup with several other cities in which the speakers could take questions from both the TV audience and the live audience. The interview concerns his experiences in Hiroshima, November, 1945. He left October 25th to set up a hospital near Hiroshima. Mainly photo stills taken in Hiroshima of debris and damage, small discussion of bomb vs. invasion decision. Mr. Purdy also donated photos. VHS Videotape. ADMIRAL RUSSELL R. WAESCHE TRIBUTE January 20, 1996. Tribute to the actions and career of Admiral Waesche of the Coast Guard allowed by Harry Truman to keep his Wartime rank in time of peace. This video contains a slide show put together for the presentation of a photo-replica of Adm. Waesche's official portrait to his surviving family, at a ceremony held at the Truman Library on January 20, 1996, hosted by the Kansas City Council of the U. S. Navy League. Remarks are by Captain Kenneth C. Hollemon, Commanding Officer of the Coast Guard Pay and Personnel Center. VHS Videotape.
