Description
ADMIRAL RUSSELL R. WAESCHE TRIBUTE January 20, 1996. Tribute to the actions and career of Admiral Waesche of the Coast Guard allowed by Harry Truman to keep his Wartime rank in time of peace. This video contains a slide show put together for the presentation of a photo-replica of Adm. Waesche's official portrait to his surviving family, at a ceremony held at the Truman Library on January 20, 1996, hosted by the Kansas City Council of the U. S. Navy League. Remarks are by Captain Kenneth C. Hollemon, Commanding Officer of the Coast Guard Pay and Personnel Center. VHS Videotape.
