Dinner was served at 7.00 p.m., after which the party relaxed for the remainder of the evening.

The President arose at 8.15 a.m. and breakfasted. At 10.00 a.m. the President, accompanied by General Harry Vaughan, Mr. William Hassett, Dr. John R. Steelman, and Stanley Woodward, departed the Little White House and walked through the Submarine Base to the beach where they were later joined by General Graham, Eben Ayers, and Secretary Matthew Connelly. They all indulged in sun-bathing. Later the President and Mr. Stanley Woodward went for a short swim. At 11.55 a.m. the President drove the above members of the party to the house, arriving at 12.00 noon.
At 12.15 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Woodward, parents of Stanley Woodward, paid a social call on the President. They departed at 12.45 p.m.
Luncheon was served at 1.00 p.m. after which the President napped from 2.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. The remainder of the day was spent in general relaxation in and about the house.

The President arose at 7.00 a.m. and breakfasted at 7.45 a.m., thereafter wrote letters until 10.00 a.m. when, accompanied by most of his staff excepting Admiral William Leahy and Mr. Clark Clifford, the President departed the Little White House and walked through the Submarine Base to the beach. They all indulged in sun-bathing. The President and Brigadier General Wallace Graham went for a swim. At 11.55 a.m., the President departed the beach with his party and drove to the house, arriving at 12 noon.
Luncheon was served at 1.00 p.m. Captain W. Sanders was a guest at this luncheon. After luncheon, the President napped. The remainder of the day was spent in general relaxation in and about the House.

The President arose at 7.00 a.m. and breakfasted at 8.15 a.m.
Accompanied by members of his staff, excepting Admiral William Leahy and Secretary Matthew Connelly, the President departed the Little White House at 10.00 a.m. and walked through the Submarine Base to the beach where with the above the President indulged in his daily sun bath, followed by a short swim with Stanley Woodward and Eben Ayers. At 11.55 a.m. the President drove back to the house, arriving at 12.00 noon.
Luncheon was served at 1.00 p.m. and Captain C.L. Freeman, Skipper of the USS WILLIAMSBURG, was the only outside guest. Following the luncheon the President napped.
At 4.05 p.m. the President accompanied by Comdr. Rigdon and escorted by Captain C. C. Adell, Commanding Officer of the Base, inspected and personally thanked each member of U. S. Marine Sentry Guard for their services. The inspection took place at the rear of the Administration Building facing the front lawn of the Little White House. Completing this, the President returned to the House where he and his staff spent the remainder of the day in general relaxation.

Ath 8.25 a. m., The President, accompanied by members of the staff and Captain Adell, Commanding Officer of the Submarine Base, departed the Little White House for Boca Chica Airfield. Before leaving the Submarine Base proper, the Presidential car stopped just inside the main gate where the Marine Honor Guard was located. At this time, the President, accompanied by Captain Adell, Captain Robert L. Dennison, his naval aide, and Captain W. Saunders, inspected this guard during which time he, the President, personally inspected the rifles of the individual Marines, selecting them at random. Completing this inspection, the President reentered his automobile and departed the Submarine Base through the main gate at approximately 8.35 a.m., continuing on to the airfield where the motorcade arrived at 8.50 a.m. Before boarding Army Plane 451, the President shook hands with and thanked each individual member of the Florida Highway Patrol, members of the Key West City Police Department, and various officer personnel of the Submarine Base and Boca Chica Airfield. The plane was airborne at 9.05 a.m. for the flight to the ATC Terminal, Washington, D.C. where it arrived at 2.05 p.m. Upon deplaning, the President was greeted by Mrs. Truman and Miss Margaret Truman, as well as certain members of his Cabinet, following which he entered his waiting automobile and returned to the White House, arriving at 2.23 p.m.
