The President and Mrs. Truman attended a reception in their honor at the Congressional Club at 2001 New Hampshire Avenue.
The Midshipman Choir at the U. S. Naval Academy gave a half-hour concert in the East Room for the President, Mrs. Truman, and guests.

This gift of present Head of Greek Orthodox Church in Jerusalem.)
Master Richard Tyler, aged 14 Miss Joyce Van Patten, aged 12 The Secretary of Agriculture [Clinton P. Anderson] (Both children broadway stars--presented to the President the first certificate to be issued representing grove of 1000 trees which will be planted in his name and constitute center of Childrens' Memorial Forest in Palestine, a gift of the Christian children of the United States in memory of the 1,000,000 Jewish children slain in Europe during the war. The site of this Forest will be near Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus) The following adults accompanied the children:

The President received a Committee of distinguished Colored leaders, who will request that he order a commemorative stamp to be issued in honor of Doctor George Washington Carver, a Negro Scientist.
