Secretary of State Dean Acheson (right) returned to Washington from a speaking engagement in California and was greeted by Vice President Alben W. Barkley (left) and Undersecretary of State James E. Webb. He arrived aboard the Presidential plane Sacred Cow after a 10-hour non stop flight from San Francisco.
