Former President Harry S. Truman plays the piano for President and Mrs. Kennedy and their dinner guests assembled in the White House East Room. The White House released this picture. Margaret Truman and James Stewart Rehearse for NBC's Screen Director's Playhouse in "Jackpot"

Margaret Truman and James Stewart rehearse, in Hollywood, California, for their April 26th radio performance on Screen Director's Playhouse in "Jackpot." It will be her first appearance in a straight dramatic role, with no singing. She will play Stewart's wife and the mother of two children. (See also 2009-1628.) Traveling with the President, Byron Rollins of the Associated Press lumbered to the back of the train, shot two pictures, unloaded them with an AP stringer, lumbered back to his car, and hit his berth with absolutely no thought of anything special except his first sleep in 20 hours.
