World History

The students will listen to an audio recording of President Truman's address to Congress, which requests that Congress appropriate financial aid to Greece and Turkey.

The daring activities of Gail Halvorsen will be presented in class. Students will then be asked to formulate a plan to create and hopefully implement their own service activity.

Create a meal (or meals) to complete a day's worth of calories for Berliners at the time of the Airlift and present to class in order to visualize what they were actually eating.

All students will be required to use primary and secondary sources to investigate the 1920s.

Students will work together to analyze primary sources on the inter-war period in both the Soviet Union and the United States and will work individually to draw conclusions about those sources by producing a Venn Diagram.

Students will conduct technology based research in primary sources on the Treaty of Versailles and participate in a Socratic Seminar for assessment.

Putting together a 1920s newspaper as a group - each student will contribute an individual articles.
