President Harry S. Truman's commencement address at the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. The President spoke at 10:05 a.m. at the university stadium. His opening words "Mr. President" referred to Dr. Frederick A. Middlebush, president of the University of Missouri. Due to a rainstorm the ceremonies were shortened and the honorary degree recipients, including the President, were given their degrees at Jesse Hall, located on the campus of the university.
