Description

President Harry S. Truman's remarks to a group of Boy Scouts of America in the Oval Office at the White House. The Boy Scouts were visiting the White House in honor of Boy Scout Week. President Truman, in his capacity as honorary president of the Boy Scouts, received a report from Eagle Scout William "Bill" Sibley of Union, SC. Eagle Scout Eddie Morales of Puerto Rico gives the President a Liberty Bell replica on behalf of the territories. Boy Scout Richard Lee Huntt is honored as the 19 millionth scout.
