Description
President Harry S. Truman urges the American Republics to embark on a broad program of defense against a "strike" by Soviet Russia in his address at the opening session of the American Foreign Ministers Emergency Conference in Washington. At the President's right is Secretary of State Dean Acheson, while seated on the stage are the various Ministers and Ambassadors.
