The Truman family in a car. Written on the back of the photo is "Leaving for Washington," presumably from Independence. Margaret Truman is climbing into the backseat. Bess Truman is on the passenger side, front seat, and Senator Harry S. Truman can barely be seen in the driver's seat. They appear to be at the back of the Truman home. From: Truman home.
