Description
A view of the Inaugural platform at the Presidential Inauguration of Dwight D. Eisenhower. President Harry S. Truman is at the front of the group descending the steps on the left. In the center of the group descending the steps is Vice President Alben Barkley. Also present are, left to right in the first row on the right side of column: First Lady Bess W. Truman, Pat (Mrs. Richard) Nixon, and Mamie (Mrs. Dwight D.) Eisenhower. Standing on the left side at the end of the second row, near the podium is former President Herbert Hoover. Standing on the right side in judicial robes is Chief Justice Fred Vinson. All others are unidentified.
