Description

Former President Harry S. Truman (in light suit, center) with a group of local and foreign tennis players standing around the globe in Mr. Truman's office at the Truman Library. Pictured left to right: Richard Berkley of the Greater Kansas City Tennis Patrons (later Mayor of Kansas City); John Sharpe (Australia); Carmen Coronado (Spain); Edison Mandarino (Brazil); Jacques Renavand (France); Mr. Truman; Mustapha Belkodja (Tunisia); Gus Castillo (Colombia); Eric Drossart (Belgium); Pacho Castillo (Colombia); and George Michalson of the Rockhill Tennis Club (later a lawyer for Middle West Motor Freight Bureau). The boy standing next to Mr. Truman and the globe is Greg Michalson. The group was in Kansas City to play at Rockhill in the Heart of America International Tournament.
