President Harry S. Truman at ribbon-cutting ceremonies for a new section of Truman Road through Independence, Missouri. Standing to the left of President Truman is Mayor Robert Weatherford and Mr. Truman's brother, Vivian Truman. The man with his back to the camera is unidentified. They are at Truman Road and Main Street; the old fire station is behind them.
