President Harry S. Truman (right) makes an appearance on the rear platform of a train during a stop in Sedalia, Missouri. He is traveling back to Washington, D. C. after the successful conclusion of the 1948 presidential campaign. Also visible on the back of the train is Margaret Truman (second from right). Others are unidentified.
