Secretary of the Army Frank Pace watched a demonstration of a field problem conducted by the First Infantry Division during his visit to Grafenwohr, Germany. Front row, left to right: Mr. Shackleford, Assistant to Secretary Frank Pace; Lieutenant General Manton S. Eddy, 7th Army Commanding General; Secretary Pace; Major General John E. Dahlquist, Commanding General of the Fifth Corps; Major General Thomas S. Timberman, Commanding General, First Infantry Division; Brigadier General Harper; Brigadier General E.A. Bixby. All other soldiers are unidentified.
