President Harry S. Truman with Mrs. Bess Wallace Truman (center back, wearing large white corsage) standing at the podium at the Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner at the Mayflower Hotel. A second Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner was also held at the Statler Hotel.
