This photograph of a political cartoon by Clifford K. Berryman entitled "First budget surplus in 17 years", depicts President Harry S. Truman and Secretary of the Treasury John Snyder. Truman is saying, "Let's put it in a museum so the citizens can have a look at it." Inscribed by Berryman, "To President Truman and Secretary Snyder with my heartiest thanks to them for doing something that I never expected to see while I lived - A miracle!"
