Description
This is a commercial photograph of the Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo, Egypt. The mosque was but in 972 C.E shortly after the founding of Cairo itself. E. Clifton Daniel, Jr. wrote on the back of the photograph: " Notice the variety of minarets which give the Cairo skyline much interest." Part of a group of photographs originally sent by E. Clifton Daniel, Jr. to his mother.
