Description
This is a photograph of a group of worshipers kneeling in prayer on the Via Dolorosa. E. Clifton Daniel Jr. wrote: "Here you see monks and worshipers kneeling in front on one of the Stations of the Cross. There are fourteen Stations along the way, each commemorating some event in Christ's journey to the grave. This one, I believe, is where He fell the first time." The photograph is numbered "3." It is part of a series of ten photographs that record Daniel's experience in Jerusalem and is part of a group of photographs originally sent by E. Clifton Daniel, Jr. to his parents from Jerusalem.
