Description
This is a commercial photograph inside the Umayyad Mosque also known as the Great Mosque of Damascus. The mosque is in the old city of Damascus, Syria. E. Clifton Daniel, Jr. wrote on the back of the photograph: "This is the capital of Syria and the place where St. Paul went after seeing the vision. The Antones come either from near here or near Beirut." Part of a group of photographs originally sent by E. Clifton Daniel, Jr. to his mother.
