Description
This is a commercial photograph of the Tikkiye Mosque in Damascus, Syria. The mosque was completed in 1560 as a place for pilgrims on the road to Mecca. It was designed by the famous Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan. Part of a group of photographs originally sent by E. Clifton Daniel, Jr. to his mother.
