Description
This is a commercial photograph of the manger in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. Christians believe this is where Christ was laid by Mary after his birth. E. Clifton Daniel, Jr. wrote on the back of the photograph: "Here is the spot where the manger was. I have seen this. The lamps are put there by the various churches." Part of a group of photographs originally sent by E. Clifton Daniel, Jr. to his mother.
