Description
This is a commercial photograph of the Via Dolorosa, the street Christians believe Jesus walked carrying his cross. E. Clifton Daniel wrote on the back of the photograph: "This is the road which Christ walked on the way o the cross...or, rather carrying the cross. It is marked by what Catholics call "the Stations of the Cross." The spots where various incidents happened on the way to the Crucifixion." Part of a group of photographs originally sent by E. Clifton Daniel, Jr. to his mother.
