Description
A postcard of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro sent from Eugene Van Vooren to his wife. The message on the back of the postcard reads "We're anchored in the shadows of this statue. Love, Gene". Mr. Van Vooren was in Brazil on board the USS Missouri as it traveled there to bring President Harry S. Truman back to the United States after his official visit to Brazil.
