Description
President Harry S. Truman places a wreath at the base of the monument to the "Heroes of Chapultepec," in memory of Mexican war dead during his visit to Mexico. He is the first U. S. President to visit our southern neighbor while in office. A printed message to Mr. Truman on the photo reads; "They, too, were present in this second that changed the history of two nations. Enrique Diaz" (See also 69-361 and 66-3165.) This is a 10" x 13" oversize photo mounted on card stock. From: Office of President Truman, found in locked credenza of his desk.
