The President arrived in Annapolis and made a tour of the Naval Academy. He reviewed the Corps of Midshipmen, and attended a football game between Navy and Penn State. Immediately after the game, the President attended the reception in his honor at the Superintendent's quarters, after which he departed by motor for Washington.
