Paul Henri-Spaak, Socialist Foreign Minister of Belgium, will represent his country at the forthcoming United Nations Conference at San Francisco. A survivor of the cabinet crisis the prior fall, Spaak was one of the strongmen of the cabinet. When Achille Van Acker was asked to form a new government, one of the conditions he placed on acceptance was that Spaak remain as Foreign Minister. From: Beth Gore.
