"Red Feather Roundup" Program featuring President Harry S. Truman's address opening the Community Chest Drive, delivered in Louisville, KY, at 9:55 p.m. President Truman spoke as part of a special radio broadcast to raise money for the Community Chest. The "Red Feather Roundup" is hosted from Hollywood, CA, by Hy Averback. Bob Hope does a comedy skit. Red Skelton, Verna Felton, and Pat McGeehan do a "Mean Widdle Kid" skit. Jo Stafford sings, "In the Still of the Night," with Paul Weston conducting the orchestra.

Red Skelton Stands in Front of the Car Used by President Truman in Los Angeles
