This is an autographed portrait of Frank Murphy, Governor-General of the Philippine Islands, 1933-35 and High Commissioner to the Philippines 1935-36. The inscription reads, " To Johnny and Weldon: My nipa [stilt house] hut is small by it has room for one and all. With affectionate regards of Frank Murphy."
