President Harry S. Truman's remarks to a group of exchange teachers from Great Britain, France, and Canada. The President spoke at 12:05 p.m. in the Rose Garden at the White House. His opening words referred to Oscar R. Ewing, Federal Security Administrator. The teachers were in the United States under the provisions of the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948.
