The Wishing Tree
The famous 'Wishing Tree,' the only tree of its kind in the world, made of over 1,000 'wish bones' of various fowl consumed by the family during the past 50 years. Harry Kleine is standing by the tree.
U.S. Forest Chief Lyle F. Watts at George Walton Experimental Forest in Cordele, Georgia. This was the "Pine Valley Plantation" in Lot 131 planted with slash pine (6 feet x 8 feet spacing) from Albany State Nursery in the spring of 1946. The sign reads: "Slash Pine; planted 1926; spaced 6 x 8."
