President Harry S. Truman's remarks at the dedication of the Organized Reserve Corps Armory, Kansas City, MO. The President spoke at 5 p.m. at the Armory in Kansas City, Mo. In his opening words he referred to Brig. Gen. R. Dinwiddie Groves and Monsignor L. Curtis Tieman, both of Kansas City, Mo. At one time General Groves served as executive officer to the President in the 379th Field Artillery Regiment when Mr. Truman was both commander of that Army Reserve unit and a United States Senator.
