Chicago, Illinois Inaugural Parade Float

Inaugural parade float representing the city of Chicago, Illinois featuring imagery of the Chicago skyline and a heart that says "Chicago's Heart Turned the Tide to Victory to Harry S. Truman." The woman in the white velvet dress trimmed in gold at the front of the float is Patricia Reedy, who was designated the Inaugural Queen by the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper. The four other women on the float are unidentified. The float was designed by Alan Metreger.

Kentucky Inaugural Parade Float

Inaugural parade float representing Kentucky featuring a steam circus calliope pulled by eight horses. Sign on the side printed with wording: "Kentucky Salutes/President Truman/Vice Pres. Barkley/Under Their Leadership America Will Prosper." A row of motorcycles is following behind the float as the crowds of people spill into the street.

Missouri Inaugural Parade Float

Inaugural parade float representing Missouri featuring eight live horses pulling the float, a map of the state, the White House, American flags, and an eagle. Sign at the top of the float printed with wording "Our Greatest Missourian/Harry S. Truman." People standing on float are unidentified. The Lamar, Missouri float can be seen following behind the Missouri float, as well as various people on horseback.
