Stalag Tekla Massacre victim

A political prisoner ran into this barbed wire, was shot through the head, and his clothing burned from his body during his attempt to flee the S.S. Troops at Stalag Tekla near Leipzig, Germany. The camp prisoners were placed in a building that was then set on fire by S. S. troops. Anyone attempting to escape the building was shot. From: album entitled "Nazi War Atrocities."

Rows of bodies of dead inmates fill yard of Lager Nordhausen, a Gestapo Concentration Camp near Nordhausen, Germany. The photograph, according to the cameraman, shows less than half of the bodies of the several hundred inmates who died of starvation or were shot by Gestapo men at the camp.
