Former President Harry S. Truman's 75th Birthday was marked by 66 parties held in cities across the country. Sixteen of them were linked by closed circuit TV from New York City, where Mr. Truman was. This photo shows the Truman's longtime cook, Vietta Garr (left) and an unidentified African American lady in attendance.
