The location is believed to be Mackinac Island in Michigan. Truman visited this location in August, 1955. The photograph is autographed by Truman and reads: "To Charlie Murphy, from Harry Truman." Back of the photo has a handwritten note beginning with Hebrew characters and then reading, "On the eve of the New Year I send to you and all your dear ones my best wishes for a Happy New Year!
