A Young Boy Poses in Front of the Offices of the Associated Press
An unidentified young boy stands in front of the offices of the Associated Press in an unidentified city. Probably taken while E. Clifton Daniel worked in Europe.
President Harry S. Truman, seated on the back of the open car, receives a scrapbook from twelve year old William Barrett, son of Chief Pharmacist's Mate P.W. Barrett of the United States Navy, while Admiral William Leahy (front seat) looks on. Young Barrett presented the scrapbook to the President on behalf of his schoolmates during the President's visit to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. All others are unidentified.
