A group of men are shown leaving Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. They have just attended a high mass held in conjunction with the American Legion gathering in the city. Coming down the steps in uniform on the left is French Field Marshall Ferdinand Foch and the man in uniform on the right is identified as Commander Hearn. This photograph is a part of others associated with the Knights of Columbus activities taking place in Paris at this time.

French Field Marshall Ferdinand Foch can be seen in full uniform on the left. He is leaving Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, after attending an American (?) Legion high mass. The other officer on the right is identified as Commander Hearn. Others in view are not identified. This photograph is a part of others associated with the Knights of Columbus activates taking place in Paris at the same time. The date is believed to be fall, 1927.

President Harry S. Truman holds the original surrender document signed by the Japanese dignitaries aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945. Standing from left to right are: Secretary of the Navy James Forrestal, Secretary of War Henry Stimson, General George C. Marshall, and President Truman. Others in the background are unidentified.
