President Truman takes the Presidential salute in Berlin

President Harry S. Truman takes the Presidential salute during the playing of the national anthem during the flag raising in Berlin. The "Flag of Liberation" used during the ceremony flew over the Capitol in Washington on December 7, 1941. It was raised in Rome on the day of its liberation on the July 4, 1944. Left to Right: General Dwight D. Eisenhower, General George S. Patton, Jr., President Harry S. Truman, Secretary of War Henry L. Stimson, and General Omar N. Bradley. Others are unidentified.
