President Harry S. Truman's St. Patrick's Day address in New York, NY. The President spoke at 10:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Astor. He was introduced by John A. Coleman, president of the Society of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick in the City of New York and chairman of the dinner. The address was carried on a nationwide radio broadcast.
