1948 Timeline

For this project the students will create a timeline for the year highlighting events in national and international, art, literature, entertainment, music, science, inventions, sports, fashion, and economics.

This will be an introductory paired learning activity. The students, working in teams, analyze the rapid rise in automobiles and the growing need for a stable road system in the United States/Missouri.

Prohibition and the Constitution

Students will be assigned the task of making two 6 panel cartoons that illustrates the desire for Prohibition and the repeal of prohibition. The students will create these cartoons after reading the 18th and 21st Amendment and viewing news reel footage.
