President Harry S. Truman's address before the Greater Los Angeles Press Club. The President spoke at 1:30 p.m. at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. In his opening words he referred to Joseph Short, President of the National Press Club, Goodwin J. Knight, Lt. Governor of California, and Fletcher Bowton, Mayor of Los Angeles.
