President Harry S. Truman's address to the Washington State Press Club. The President spoke at 2:30 p.m. in the Memorial High School Stadium in Seattle. In his opening words he referred to William Devin, Mayor of Seattle, and Mon C. Wallgren, Governor of Washington. Later he referred to Frank A. Banks, District Manager of the Grand Coulee Dam. Dudley M. Brown served as President of the Washington State Press Club, and Emil G. Sick served as General Chairman. The address was carried on a nationwide radio broadcast.
