Description
President Harry S. Truman's address on conservation at the Dedication of the Everglades National Park. The President spoke at 2:30 p.m. in Everglades City, FL. His opening words referred to John Pennekamp, chairman of the dedication ceremonies; Julius A. Krug, Secretary of the Interior; Millard Caldwell, Governor of Florida; and Spessard L. Holland and Claude Pepper, United States Senators from Florida. The address was carried on a nationwide radio broadcast.
