Description

President Harry S. Truman's address at the National Democratic Conference and Jefferson Jubilee. The President spoke at 10:30 p.m. at the Chicago Stadium on the final evening of the 3-day conference. In his opening words he referred to Scott W. Lucas, Senator from Illinois, Adlai E. Stevenson, Governor of Illinois, Martin Kennelly, Mayor of Chicago, and Albert W. Barkley, Vice President of the United States. The address was broadcast. In two parts.
