Description

President Harry S. Truman's address at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York City. He is introduced to the crowd by New York Democratic Committeewoman, Alice Campbell Good. The President spoke at 9:30 p.m. During his address he referred to Secretary of State George C. Marshall, former Secretary of State Cordell Hull, former Senator from Pennsylvania Joseph R. Grundy, and Senator Robert A. Taft of Ohio. The Democratic National Committee paid for the air time of this campaign speech, as broadcast by CBS.
