President Harry S. Truman's message to the Special Session of the 80th Congress on Inflation. The President spoke at 12:30 p.m. His address was carried on a nationwide radio broadcast. At the conclusion of the broadcast, a recording of the National Anthem plays, then the NBC chimes.
