Description
President Harry S. Truman's address at the cornerstone laying of the District of Columbia Red Cross Building. The President spoke at 12:50 p.m. at 21st and E Streets NW., in Washington, DC. In his opening words he referred to John C. Folger, chairman, District of Columbia chapter, American Red Cross, and to General of the Army George C. Marshall, former president of the American Red Cross.
