Description
President Harry S. Truman's address at the Sixth Annual Awards Program of the Department of Agriculture. The President spoke at 10:37 a.m. at the Sylvan Theatre on the Washington Monument grounds. In his opening words he referred to Charles F. Brannan, Secretary of Agriculture, and Knox T. Hutchinson, Assistant Secretary of Agriculture, who was chairman of the occasion.
